A 2012 Los Angeles Kings Stanley Cup Champions hat was placed next to the names of Kings scouts Mark Bavis and Garnet “Ace” Bailey, who passed away on United Flight 175 that crashed into the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.
Bavis skated with the Stingrays from 1994-96 scoring 30 goals and 38 assists in 87 games. His #12 is retired in the North Charleston Coliseum.
The man who took the photo, Dave Krasne, posted on Twitter, “May Mark Bavis @ Ace Bailey finally RIP.” He then added, “As a kings fan in NYC, I couldn’t let Mark Bavis or Ace Bailey miss the festivities”. |
