The Week That Was:

On Friday night, the Rays visited the Checkers at the Charlotte Bobcats Arena. Charlotte goaltender Adam Westlund stopped all 32 shots to record his second shutout of the season as the Checkers defeated the Stingrays 5-0.
Dan Murphy recorded a hat trick in the effort. The loss snapped the Rays five-game winning streak.

On Saturday night, the Stingrays returned to more friendly territory as they took on the Inferno at the North Charleston Coliseum. In front of a capacity crowd of 10,496,
Evan Schwabe, with assists from Matt Reid and T.J. McElroy, had the game-winning goal in overtime to lift the Stingrays 4-3. Reid had four points on the night including a goal and an assist and Nate Kiser recorded his second goal of the year and added an assist.
