Game 3 of the Calder Cup Finals moved north of the border, and the Bulldogs defensemen broke out the big sticks in a 5-2 win at Copps Coliseum Monday night. The victory gave Hamilton a two games to one lead in the 2007 Calder Cup Finals.
Hamilton didn’t take long to find the back of the net, scoring on the power play just 1:20 in. Danny Groulx scored on a center point shot to give the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead. Through most of the rest of the period, the BEARS had numerous power play chances but could not find the back of the goal until the final seconds of period one. Jakub Klepis took a Tomas Fleischmann pass and broke through the left circle to score short side against Carey Price. The goal at 19:49 tied the game and took HERSHEY to the dressing room all tied at 1-1.
