Well, Josh, talk about your performance tonight. A couple of assists and another big Bears win.
Yeah, I’m just doing what the coaching staff asks of me. Just keeping it simple. Putting pucks on net when I can. We’re on a roll right now, I guess.
In your second game back from recall, you had a couple points and had a game-high +5 rating as the Bears rolled to a 9-0 win over Binghamton. Have you ever been a part of a team with this many blowouts this early in the year?
A couple times in junior. My last year we had a pretty good team, so I had a couple three or four-point games. But you can’t get too high over stuff like that, because the next game it could go the other way. You just have to stay focused and go out there every game.
Who have you enjoyed playing with on the blueline this season?
Karl (Alzner), the last two years, really, for Washington’s camp, we’ve been paired together. I’m really taking a liking to playing with (Greg) Amadio right now. He talks to me a lot on the ice, he lets me know what’s open, and he’s probably one of the better players right now.
Having played in both the AHL and ECHL this year, what would you say have been the biggest differences?
I think at any level, whether you’re going up or down, it’s the speed. The AHL is a step ahead of the Coast (ECHL), and the NHL is a step ahead of the AHL. So it’s just the way it is, but it’s just the time you have to make decisions out there.
What did you take from your time down in South Carolina this season?
You know, “Bedsy” really had me being more aware on the ice in my defensive zone. That’s always been a big thing for me growing up. I think I’ve learned a lot over the last two years, but he really simplified it for me.
