ECHL Championship Trophies
Kelly Cup The ECHL retired its playoff championship trophy, the Jack Riley Cup following the 1995-1996 season and replaced it with the Patrick J. Kelly Cup. The new trophy was awarded for the first time in the 1997 Finals to the South Carolina Stingrays. Patrick Kelly, whose hockey career spanned more than four decades as a player, general manager and coach, is one of the founding fathers of the ECHL and served as league commissioner for eight years. The ECHL is proud to honor his distinguished career by naming its most coveted trophy in his honor.

Brabham Cup Henry Brabham was a major force in professional hockey in Virginia for over 15 years, and this former mayor and businessman made his mark on the ECHL as one of the league's founders as well as the first owner of the Erie Panthers. Brabham worked tirelessly to establish the fledgling league, and the ECHL is proud to honor his hard work and dedication by awarding the Brabham Cup to the league's regular season point champion.

Riley Cup Jack Riley did it all in professional hockey as a player, coach, general manager and scout beginning in 1938. One of the most respected names in the game, he served as President of the American Hockey League (1964-67) and scouted for the Pittsburgh Penguins until accepting the job as the Commissioner for the Southern Hockey League in 1975.
