NORTH CHARLESTON, SC – The South Carolina Stingrays, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Washington Capitals and AHL’s Hershey Bears, announced today that forward Jarid Lukosevicius has signed a professional tryout contract with the Belleville Senators of the American Hockey League.
Lukosevicius, 28, signed an ECHL contract with the Stingrays on August 18th. Through South Carolina’s first eight games this season, Lukosevicius scored eight points (five goals, three assists).
The Squamish, BC native skated in five regular season games for the Stingrays in 2022-23, producing eight points (five goals, three assists). The 5’10’’, 194-pound forward added five points (four goals, one assist) in South Carolina’s six-game playoff series against the Florida Everblades.
Lukosevicius spent most of the 2022-2023 season on a professional tryout contract with Belleville, scoring 13 points (seven goals, six assists) in 52 games.
This will be Lukosevicius’ sixth season playing in the AHL. He has registered 42 points (24 goals, 18 assists) in 160 career AHL games.
The Stingrays continue their 2023-24 campaign on Friday, November 10th, at the North Charleston Coliseum with a home matchup against the undefeated Atlanta Gladiators. Puck drop is set for 7:05 pm.
