Stingrays Announce 2018-19 Promotional Schedule

The South Carolina Stingrays have unveiled their promotional schedule for the upcoming 2018-19 season highlighted by a mix of old favorites and new additions.Tickets for groups of 10 or more start at just $12 and can be ordered through the Stingrays office today by calling 843-744-2248.

In addition to all of the team’s special theme nights, all weekday home games will feature a Stingrays Happy Hour which includes $2 beers from 6-8 p.m. and all Sunday home games will begin at the family-friendly time of 3:05 p.m. presented by Crews Subaru and Charleston County Parks.

The excitement kicks off with Opening Night on Oct. 20 when the team will celebrate the first championship in franchise history for their NHL affiliate, the Washington Capitals, with special events and opportunities to take a photo with the Stanley Cup®. More details about the team’s plans for opening night, which will be presented by STASH Storage, will be announced soon.

Star Wars Night presented by Jeff Cook Real Estate, which was initially scheduled for Feb. 16, will now take place on Feb. 23 vs. Florida at 7:05 p.m.

South Carolina will wear a total of six specialty uniforms throughout the season on some of their most anticipated nights including Marvel Super Hero Night, Nickelodeon Night, Military Appreciation Night, Star Wars Night, Pink In The Rink Night and Nick Jr. Day.

“Every year we review our promotional schedule and try to get more creative,” said Stingrays President Rob Concannon. “Having the Stanley Cup® here opening night along with the Rocket Richard Trophy, Prince of Wales Trophy and the Conn Smythe Trophy will help ring in the 2018-19 season. This year we will also have our annual Military Appreciation Night and Pink in the Rink game. Preston Hayden and the rest of the staff did a great job.

“We have a few other themed jersey nights like the Paw Patrol, Star Wars, Black Panther, and Double Dare, and there will also be three chances to skate with the Rays after our Sunday games. We will have a special Hershey Bears themed jersey throughout the season along with plenty of other exciting promotions!”The full list of 2018-19 promotions can be found below:

Saturday, Oct. 20 – 7:05 p.m. vs. Greenville Swamp RabbitsStingrays Opening Night: Capitals Championship Celebration presented by STASH Storage. Fans will receive a team magnet schedule presented by SC Sports Medicine and the Stanley Cup® will be on display for fan photos during the game.

Sunday, Oct. 21 – 3:05 p.m. vs. Atlanta Gladiators Come see the Stingrays take on Atlanta at a family-friendly start time of 3:05 p.m.  All fans in attendance will have the opportunity to ‘Meet The Rays’ after the game!

Saturday, Nov. 10 – 7:05 p.m. vs. Orlando Solar BearsHealth and Wellness Night presented by Planet Fitness featuring a water bottle giveaway!

Saturday, Nov. 17 – 7:05 p.m. vs. Wheeling NailersMarvel Super Hero Night presented by Trident Medical Center! The Stingrays will wear specialty Black Panther jerseys, fans will receive a Black Panther Stingrays Banner and there will be an appearance by Black Panther himself!

Saturday, Dec. 8 – 7:05 p.m. vs. Atlanta GladiatorsThe Rays host their annual Teddy Bear Toss along with a Santa Hat giveaway just in time for the holiday season!

Saturday, Dec. 15 – 7:05 p.m. vs. Greenville Swamp RabbitsNickelodeon Night: Featuring specialty Double Dare jerseys and different physical challenges inspired by the classic show for fans throughout the night!

Friday, Dec. 28 – 7:05 p.m. vs. Norfolk AdmiralsWhat You Didn’t Get For Christmas Night, where Stingrays fans in attendance have the opportunity to win some of the most popular gifts from the holiday season!

Friday, Jan. 11 – 7:05 p.m. vs. Atlanta GladiatorsHarry Potter Night, where hockey elves will receive a pair of Stingrays wizard-themed socks! The Rays will divide into the four Hogwarts houses for a house cup contest where fans can win prizes from the celebrated book series.

Sunday, Jan. 13 – 3:05 p.m. vs. Jacksonville IcemenKids Takeover Day with a youth jersey giveaway and an opportunity to Skate With The Rays after the game!

Saturday, Jan. 19 – 7:05 p.m. vs. Orlando Solar BearsPack The House and Military Appreciation Night featuring a $10 ticket special! Presented by Lowcountry Orthopedic, the Stingrays will wear military-themed jerseys that will be auctioned off immediately after the game and honor our nation’s finest all night!

Saturday, Feb. 16 – 7:05 p.m. vs. Jacksonville IcemenPucks and Paws Night! Bring your furry friend with you to the North Charleston Coliseum for the game against Florida. We’ll also conduct our annual wiener dog race during the first intermission.

Sunday, Feb. 17 – 3:05 p.m. vs. Atlanta GladiatorsDaddy-Daughter Day featuring an appearance from your favorite princesses and a Skate With the Rays after the game!

Friday, Feb. 22 – 7:05 p.m. vs. Florida EverbladesFans Pick The Night presented by The Office People! Our fans will have the opportunity to create their own promotion for this game against our South Division rival, the Florida Everblades.

Saturday, Feb. 23 – 7:05 p.m. vs. Florida EverbladesStar Wars Night presented by Jeff Cook Real Estate featuring character appearances, specialty jerseys and a light-up sword giveaway!

Tuesday, Feb. 26 – 10:30 a.m. vs. Greenville Swamp RabbitsEducation Day, where all Lowcountry schools are invited to spend the morning with the Stingrays as they battle Greenville at 10:30 am in a field trip atmosphere. Students will enjoy a unique educational experience and receive hockey-related educational materials that cover math, science, geography and more.

Saturday, Mar. 2 – 7:05 p.m. vs. Jacksonville IcemenPink In The Rink Night benefitting Share Our Suzy of the Lowcountry and featuring specialty pink jerseys as well as a Parker Milner bobblehead giveaway!
