NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – The South Carolina Stingrays, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Washington Capitals and AHL’s Hershey Bears, have announced that the team’s front office has been named finalists for seven different ECHL awards for the 2019-20 season.
Stingrays nominations:
- Community Service Team of the Year
- Marketing Team of the Year
- Most Creative Ticket Package of the Year
- Theme Night of the Year
- Sales Professional of the Year – Kevin Schildt
- PR/Broadcaster of the Year – Jared Shafran
- Sales Rookie of the Year - Mario Picciotto
“The 2020-21 season was very different from a normal year,” said President Rob Concannon. “There were many challenges along the way. Our staff did a remarkable job in all departments and I am very glad they are being recognized for their effort.”
The winners of each award category will be presented at the 2021 ECHL Hockey Summer Meetings in Las Vegas on August 16 and 17.
The Stingrays will open the 2021-22 season on October 23 at the North Charleston Coliseum against the Greenville Swamp Rabbits at 6:05 p.m.
