North Charleston, SC – The South Carolina Stingrays, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Washington Capitals and AHL’s Hershey Bears, have agreed to terms with forward Jake Coleman for the 2021-22 season.
Coleman, 24, signed with the Worcester Railers previous to last season, but the season was unfortunately cancelled due to COVID. Before turning pro, the 5-foot-7, 176-pound forward spent four seasons at Robert Morris University from 2016-2020. While at RMU, Coleman suited up for 133 games and scored 40 points (16 goals, 24 assists).
Prior to attending RMU, the Pittsburgh, PA native played two years of junior hockey with the Keystone Miners (2014-15) of the North American Hockey League and Muskegon Lumberjacks (2014-16) of the United Stated Hockey League. Coleman appeared in a total of 108 games, totaling 39 points (eight goals, 31 assist) over those two seasons.
The Stingrays open the 2021-22 season on October 23 in North Charleston against the Greenville Swamp Rabbits at 6:05 p.m.
