The Stingrays have won their first three games for the first time in four seasons, and they are one of just three undefeated teams remaining in the Eastern Conference, along with Florida and Trois-Rivières. Two of those wins have come on the road, with Saturday’s matchup at Orlando being the last road game before a four game home stand.

South Carolina is coming off a 5-0 victory over the Savannah Ghost Pirates on Friday Night at Enmarket Arena. Ryan Sandelin scored the team’s first hat trick of the season and has recorded a point in his first three games as a Stingray. Goaltender Ben Kraws recorded his first shutout since the 2024-25 season, making 27 saves in the shutout win.

The Stingrays have scored a power-play goal in each of its first three games, converting on three of their eight chances. South Carolina’s penalty kill has been unblemished so far, killing off all six opportunities.

Orlando is playing its first and only game of the weekend. The Solar Bears are still searching for their first win of the season, dropping both games of a home-and-home set with Florida last weekend, losing 3-1 on the road last Saturday then 5-1 at home on Sunday.

The Solar Bears finished last in the South Division last season with a 29-38-4-1 record. These teams faced off 14 times last season, with the Stingrays taking 9 of the 14 matchups. Half of those matchups were played in Orlando, with South Carolina having a 4-3 edge. Saturday’s contest is the first of 10 times these teams will square off this season.
