NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – The South Carolina Stingrays, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Washington Capitals and AHL’s Hershey Bears, in partnership with the Charleston International Airport, proudly donated $3,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lowcountry.

The donation from the Stingrays and Charleston International Airport came from a portion of the proceeds from the Stingrays game-worn and autographed CHS white jersey auction following the conclusion of the 2025-26 season.

On October 15, Stingrays President Rob Concannon and Elliott Sumney, President and CEO of Charleston International Airport, presented the check to Keonta’ Ramsey, the CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lowcountry, continuing to show the organization's commitment to making a difference in the community.

“The Stingrays are proud to partner with the Charleston International Airport to support the Big Brothers and Big Sisters organization,” said Concannon. “They do a great job mentoring kids throughout the Lowcountry.”

Big Brothers Big Sisters is an organization dedicated to igniting the power and promise of youth through one-to-one mentoring relationships built on trust and support. They empower young people to thrive emotionally, academically and socially, opening doors to brighter futures and stronger communities.

“Our partnership with the South Carolina Stingrays is about more than hockey; it’s about making a positive impact in our community,” said Summey. “We’re proud to see our CHS-branded jerseys help raise money for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lowcountry, an organization that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of local youth. We appreciate the Stingrays and their fans for helping turn team spirit into community support.”

"When two of Charleston's most beloved institutions in business and entertainment come together for the generation that will one day inherit this city, they send a powerful message: your future matters, and your community believes in you,” said Ramsey. “On behalf of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lowcountry, I thank the South Carolina Stingrays and Charleston International Airport for investing in the next generation. Impactful partnerships like this make life-changing, one-to-one mentoring relationships a reality, giving young people from the tri-county someone to count on—and the confidence to imagine all they can become."

The Stingrays are proud to continue their partnership with the Charleston International Airport and remain dedicated to supporting those in the community. Thank you to all the fans who contributed to this meaningful cause.
