CONNOR MOORE RETURNS TO STINGRAYS BLUE LINE FOR SIXTH SEASON

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – The South Carolina Stingrays, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Washington Capitals and AHL’s Hershey Bears, announced today that the team has signed defenseman Connor Moore to an ECHL contract for the 2025-26 season.

Moore, 28, is set to return for his sixth season in the Lowcountry.

“Connor Moore exemplifies what it means to be a leader on and off the ice,” said Stingrays Head Coach David Warsofsky. “He’s been a big part of the Stingrays culture and sets the standard for professionalism and work ethic. His guidance and support have been instrumental in helping our younger players grow and succeed at this level.”

The Cumming, Georgia native is coming off another strong year in 2024-25, where he recorded 40 points (10 goals, 30 assists) and a +22 rating across 65 games. He added 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) in 4 appearances in the 2025 ECHL Kelly Cup Playoffs, helping lead the Stingrays into the postseason for the second time in his career.

A steady presence in the locker room, Moore has served as an alternate captain for the past three seasons and currently holds the distinction of being the longest-tenured player on the active roster.

“I’m excited to be back in Charleston for another season with the Stingrays,” Moore said. “This year is especially meaningful as I return not just as a player, but also as a new dad. I’m looking forward to getting back on the ice and seeing the best fans in the league at the North Charleston Coliseum.”

Moore is the third returning player to sign with the Stingrays for the 2025-26 season, joining Josh Wilkins and Romain Rodzinski on the South Carolina bench.
